Mrs. Edith Pearl Wilkinson, 65, 1219 Elm Street, wife of a State Highway Department auditor, Merle L. Wilkinson, died at 9:10 p.m. Thursday at Rudisill Nursing Home. she was born Sept 7 1895 in Montgomery County 7 miles northeast of Crawfordsville. Her parents were Joseph A. and Lizzie Clevenger Hall. On Dec 16, 1925, she married Merle L. Wilkinson in crawfordsville. She was a member of the Trinity Methodist Church, the FIdelity Sunday School Class and the Mount Tabor Friendship Club. The deceased attended New Richmond schools and took a business course at Crawfordsville HS. She did office work for the Goerge W. Graham Co. The Crawfordsville Review and the Boss Glove Co. she lived all her life in or near Crawfordsville. She is survived by her husband; two sons, Glen Edwin Wilkinson of San Leandro, Calif and Leland H. Wilkinson of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Leo Oliver of Crawfordsville; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Bright Funeral Home, Rev. C. Raymond Karle, a former pastor of the Trinity Methodist Church and Rev. CH Loveland, present pastor of the church will preside. Burial in Masonic Cemetery.
